Eva Joins the New York City Children’s Chorus
Following a successful audition, Eva has joined the prestigious New York City Children’s Chorus (NYCCC), becoming a member of its In Harmony ensemble.
Founded in 2012 by artistic director Mary Huff at Madison Avenue Presbyterian Church, the award-winning New York City Children’s Chorus provides talented young singers with rigorous musical training and opportunities to perform across New York City.
In Harmony is the programme’s changed-voice SATB ensemble, performing repertoire spanning Renaissance madrigals, classical masterworks and Broadway musicals. Each season includes several concerts, as well as an annual collaboration with Juilliard graduate maestro Andrew Henderson as part of MAPC’s Music on Madison series.
Past repertoire has included Fauré’s Requiem, Saint-Saëns’ Christmas Oratorio, Copland’s The Promise of Living and Mozart’s Requiem.
The New York City Children’s Chorus has also appeared on television in City on Fire, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, TODAY, Good Morning America, CBS Sunday Morning and Saturday Night Live. The chorus has performed on Broadway and made its Carnegie Hall debut performing the world premiere of Carol Barnett’s Mortals and Angels.
Joining In Harmony gives Eva another opportunity to develop her musical and performance experience in New York, working alongside accomplished young singers and leading musicians under the direction of Mary Huff.
